What is Profound ?

having or showing great knowledge or insight

demanding deep study or thought

Unfortunately, nothing on this earth can measure up to or be defined as profound. Man’s tinkerings and toilings has produced some interesting and pleasurable artifacts, yet all inevitably fall short of being truly glorious. We must look past this three dimensional time/space continuum and gaze longingly into the eternal for something deep. For there, and only there, do we find a Supreme Being, the Aristotelean Prime Mover, Almighty GOD, Jehovah Elohim, The Most High, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, the One from whom’s Presence even these flee ( Rev 20:11 ) Not only does He exist, but He is what Francis Schaeffer calls the Infinite/Personal GOD; one transcendent of time, yet intimately involved in our own human life narrative.

We at profound pictures acknowledge Him as the Source of our God-Given abilities and we seek to praise and glorify Him in our projects.

We affirm that the LORD GOD is Sovereign and has full control over every aspect of His Creation (Psalm 115:3, 103:19)

We acknowledge His Son, the LORD Jesus Christ as the propitiation for our sins  ( Romans 3:25, Hebrews 2:17 )

We know that we can not come to Him unless the Father grants it (John 6:65) and draws (Greek : drags) us to the  Lord Jesus (John 6:44)

For our Christian faith itself is a gift from God ( Ephesians 2:8,9 ) that can not be earned nor is it of works.

Even as we repent it is because God’s kindness has led us there ( Romans 2:4 )

We can not even say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit ( I Corinthians 12:3 )

The fact that Almighty GOD, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are actively involved in saving man who is totally depraved ( Rom. 3:9-12 ) 

And that He has chosen us for salvation ( 2 Thessalonians 2:13 ) BEFORE the foundation of the world ( Ephesians 1:4 )

THAT IS TRULY PROFOUND . . . !
